Silver Lakes Golf and Wildlife Estate is well-positioned close to several of Pretoria's top schools making it an ideal home for families. Many of these top schools also offer school shuttle services to and from the Estate which is a handy service for busy parents.
The school situated closest to the Estate is Curro Hazeldean, a leading independent school which is a bicycle or golf cart drive away. Silver Lakes Estate has a school gate which provides direct access to Curro. Grade R to Grade 12 are offered as well as nursery education. This is an Afrikaans and English medium school.
Abbotts College is a short drive away from the Estate on Silver Lakes Drive and focuses on Grade 8 to Grade 12. Abbotts College is a popular choice and often boasts about a 100% matric pass rate.
Located on Graham Road, the extension of Lynnwood Road, is Spark Silver Lakes. Currently offering Grade R to Grade 6. Spark Schools is a network of private schools with an emphasis on delivering a globally competitive education to students. The first Spark School was opened in 2013 and is an English medium school.
Further along Graham Road is Tyger Valley College which offers Grade 0000 to Grade 12 and is an English medium school. Tyger Valley College is an independent school opened in 2007 providing a balanced education with focus on academics, sport, the arts and environment.
In Shere Holdings, up the road from Silver Lakes, is the oldest school in the area which is over 100 years old. Laerskool Tygerpoort has kept its farm feel and gives classes to students from Grade R to Grade 7. It is an Afrikaans medium school with a distinctive red uniform regularly seen in the area. This is another popular school for residents of Silver Lakes.
Additionally there are several other reputable schools within a reasonable distance including St Alban's College, St Mary's DSG Pretoria and Hoërskool Menlopark. Other prominent schools include Pretoria Boys High School, Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool and Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool, with many of these offering a dedicated school shuttle service for Silver Lakes' students.
